Start this game as you start any Zombies round. In this map, you'll be attacked by Hellhounds (you'll be able to tell the special round is starting as a sound will play and a voice will say 'FETCH ME THEIR SOULS'). The first Zombies map with specific achievements is Shi No Numa.Īs well as fighting off Zombies, every 5-6 rounds you'll also be attacked by a special enemy type. Be aware that all the achievements below will likely take you multiple attempts, or at least it's unlikely that you'll get all of these in one game. Hopefully, that'll give you a good enough overview of the Zombies mode before we focus on the specific achievements. This gives you a short amount of breathing room to rebuild windows, get a weapon from the Mystery Box or a Perk. This creates a zombie that's had its legs disabled or removed, that will crawl along the ground to reach you, albeit at a much slower pace than a walking zombie. When you think you're nearing the end of a round, you can try making a crawler. Coordinate with allies and in order to survive. Just make sure you don't get caught on anything, otherwise, you will get killed, quickly. This is usually the safest way to play, as you can see all the zombies coming and keep them at a decent distance. Then once you have a horde of them, you can occasionally turn around and open fire, or drop grenades. As the zombies move in predictable ways and are generally slower than you, especially when you're sprinting, you can run around a large open area and allow all the zombies to spawn and gather in a long trail behind you.

Your best bet for surviving in later rounds is to circle around enemies. In general, playing with multiple people communicating together is much easier than playing solo, but it's entirely up to you. Pack-a-punching a weapon is a requirement to reach the highest rounds of Zombies.

Each gun has a different upgrade and gives it different new stats. After being activated (the method of which usually changes with each map), you can spend a huge 5000 points to upgrade your gun. If you get downed during a game, the perk will be lost and you'll have to rebuy it.įinally, the Der Riese map introduces the Pack-a-Punch machine. The perks are a permanent boost to you after you purchase them. Each machine is dotted around the map, and the power has to be turned on before they can be used. Up to four players can take part in one game, although when there are more players, more zombies will appear with each round to compensate.Īll maps except Nacht der Untoten have Perk-a-Cola machines, which allow you to spend points in order to earn a specific perk, such as Juggernog, which gives you additional health, and Quick Revive, which does exactly what it says on the tin. They also become faster and appear in higher numbers. As you progress through the rounds, the zombies require more and more damage to kill them. They can be shot (and headshot for more points), stabbed, blown up by grenades (although this may only blow off their legs), killed in traps you activate or by bouncing betties that you can place. Zombies themselves can be killed in multiple ways. The game ends when all players are incapacitated or have been killed by zombies. Some of the more powerful weapons are found in this box. Each map also has the Mystery Box, which can give you a random weapon (or teleport across the map if you're unlucky and not on Nacht der Untoten). You start with a pistol and a knife for melee, new weapons can be found at set places on the wall around each map (you'll see a chalk outline for a gun that you can buy off the wall). You earn points by killing zombies and rebuilding the window barriers that appear around the map (the zombies will be tearing these down to get in to you). You also use them to open up doors and remove obstacles to allow you access to more of the map. You're also trying to gain points that allow you to buy new weapons and perks, which should hopefully let you survive longer, or you can spend them on activating traps to kill zombies that come too close.

The number of zombies and general difficulty is determined by the round number that you are on. In it, your goal is to survive against an infinite horde of zombies for as long as possible. Map Pack 1 didn't come with any new achievements, but 2 and 3 did. The base game has the map Nacht der Untoten, Map Pack 1 introduced the map Verruckt, Map Pack 2 brought Shi No Numa and Map Pack 3 supplied us with Der Riese.
